Willen Co. doesn’t like to be put in a box (bowl?). She’s a spicy mixture of graphic, brand, and web design on a bed of creative project and account management, with a side of administrative assistance.
This business had its start back in 2009 by Danielle Capan, a mere year or two after the reign of MySpace. Thankfully, much has changed in the world of design in the past decade+. Anywhoo — back then, this business didn’t have a website, bank account, or identity — big things happened in 2021 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

If you’re looking for an odd mix of type A and B personality, you’ve come to the right place. My decade-long career path has taken me some interesting and varied places — from design and art/creative direction to high-level vendor/account/project management, there's little in the agency world I haven’t dabbled.
To get to know my clients and their projects, I ask a lot of questions. Some would say too many. I say that’s not a thing. The combination of my personality traits often results in spreadsheets that are far prettier than they need to be but will make your life project run seamlessly.
I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota with my two extraordinarily cute daughters, Lennon and Willa, my ordinarily cute husband, Terry, and my highly refined dog, Mister Beef Wellington. We are known for crushing costume contests and throwing a helluva themed party.

I’m a one-woman show with a ton of smarty-pants pals — they’re the “Co.” in Willen Co. With over a decade of working at small- to mid-sized publishers, media companies, and agencies in a variety of roles, I’ve built up a network of pros that I bring in on projects to deliver you with the best outcomes possible. Copywriters, photographers, developers — you name it, I’ve got it.
